Municipal Infrastructure
- Our local infrastructure, both physical and organizational, is
extremely well developed.
- Standard municipal services are in place, and readily capable of
expanding. There is a significant provincial government presence
in appropriate sectors.
- The area also boasts a multitude of community services and
recreational facilities which are complemented by exceptional outdoor
opportunities.
- Year-round events, activities and services are available to suit
all age groups and enthusiasts.
Recreational Facilities
Summer Use facilities include:
- two tennis courts (one with lights)
- four baseball diamonds (one with lights)
- one golf courses
- two soccer fields, and
- three excellent public beaches.
Numerous Municipal Parks are located throughout the municipality
offering individuals and families safe and pleasant surroundings in
which to relax, play, or explore the unique history of the area.
Picnic Areas are available at the beaches and are set up with BBQ pits,
horseshoe pits and play areas for children. In addition, many
natural beaches and picnic areas are located along the shores of our
beautiful area lakes. These are variously accessible by road,
water or air.
Winter Use facilities include:
- one indoor arena
- two indoor curling rinks
- two outdoor skating rinks
- excellent cross-country ski trails, and
- a substantial network of groomed trails for snowmobilers
Year-Round Facilities:
- two bowling alleys
- a regulation-size indoor swimming pool (with exercise, sauna and
weight rooms)
- two regulation size squash courts (including climb-max, lifecycle
and weight room)
