NOTICE: Municipal Recycling Program
Due to the numerous comments received through the Draft Waste Management By-law Public Meeting process, the Municipality of Red Lake will not be implementing the curb side recycling program on August 1, 2010. A Special Meeting of Council will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., in the Municipal Council Chambers to further discuss the comments and the Draft Waste Management By-law.
Starting Wednesday, August 4, 2010 all residents may dispose of their recycling products at the Recycling Transfer Station at the Waste Disposal Site and in turn these products will be transferred to the recycling facility in Winnipeg. There will be no charge for this service.

- All plastic containers with recycle symbol #1-#7 *
- Waxed milk and juice cartons
- Tetrapacks (juice boxes)

- Box board (single layer, non-corrugated)
- Books (remove hard covers)
- Cardboard egg cartons, mailing tubes
- Magazines, catalogues

- Aerosol cans, propane bottles
- Plastic with no recycle symbol
- Plastic bags, plastic packaging
- Toys, flower pots
- Styrofoam *
- Aluminum foil, pie plates, etc.
- Scrap metal (hangers)
- Anything containing a hazardous substance (motor oil, paint thinner, paint, etc.)
