The Municipality of Red Lake has updated the Zoning By-Law.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake passed By-Law Number 1277-10 on Tuesday, February 16th, 2010, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990 enacting a new Zoning By-Law. PURPOSE AND EFFECT: By-Law 1277-10 replaces By-Law 817-07 as the Zoning By-Law of the Municipality of Red Lake. Under the authority of the Planning Act, the Zoning By-Law regulates the use of land and the erection, location and use of buildings and structures within the Municipality. The Zoning By-Law applies to all lands in the Municipality. The new By-Law provides better implementation of the goals, objectives and principles expressed in the Municipality’s Official Plan. Long Term Waste Management Strategy Kontzamanis Graumann Smith MacMillan Inc. (KGS Group) was contracted by The Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake to prepare a Long Term Waste Management Strategy (LTWMS) for the Municipality of Red Lake. This report summarizes the proposed LTWMS, which includes a review of the current waste stream, proposed waste reduction options, and implementation recommendations. The report is 4MB and may take up to 10 minutes to download on a dial up connection.

The newly established street in the Highway Commercial Project has been named Hughes Crescent. The street has been named after Harry Wesley Hughes. Mr. Hughes was appointed Chairman of the Red Lake Committee in November 17th, 1953, and was appointed as the First Chairman on the Board of Trustees for The Corporation of the Improvement District of Red Lake. In January 1960, Mr. Hughes became the first Reeve for The Corporation of the Township of Red Lake. |
